Clowns in the wild at Serra do Cipo

Sometimes, when you ask someone to take your picture, you may realize that they are better subject to be featured. This happened during the time of Carnival in 2013 in Brazil. When most people choose to travel to Salvador or enjoy the street parties in Rio de Janeiro, yours truly decided to go hiking in Serra do Cipo national park in Minas Gerais state, known for its beautiful nature and especially waterfalls.

After a beautiful nature hike, we drove to see the statue of Juquinha, a local legendary figure. This is where we got our personal carnival shown when we ran into this family of clowns, who was keeping up the party spirit while enjoying the beauty of outdoors.
