The colors of the Inca people

Peru was my first stop in Latin America so I didn’t really know what to expect. I discovered a magical country with breathtaking nature and some of the nicest and most gentle people I have ever met. Each village had its own customs, outfits, songs and crafts, which created so many opportunities for new discoveries.

In this particular Inca village near Ollyantatambo, we came to know that the local handcrafts traders lived in the mountains above. They were a tough bunch, who just like their ancestors would spend 2-3 hours each day, coming down by foot from the mountain and then they would climb all the way up the spend the night at home. Talk about a rough commute.
