The Colorful Beetles that Interact

The Inhotim Contemporary Art Institute is one of the most incredible open air art museums in the world. It was created by a mining billionaire on the grounds of his old farm about 70km away from the city Belo Horizonte in Brazil. It features amazing installations like this Troca Troca (“Exchange” or “tit-for-tat”) colorful Volkswagen Beetles by artist Jarbas Lopes. “Troca-Troca”, by the way, can also be interpreted as sexual swinging although am not sure if it were part of the concept selected by Lopes 🙂 The beetles are still functional and move around the park at times.
